Brain Sort
Last updated: May 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dinesh Rao (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Brain Sort mobile application (the “App”), a collection of single-player puzzle and brain games available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
We built Brain Sort to be private by design. The App works almost entirely on your device, and we do not operate servers that collect or store your personal information.
As you play, the App saves the following locally on your device so it can remember your progress between sessions. This information is not transmitted to us:
If you choose to use Sign in with Apple, Apple provides the App with a unique identifier for your account and, only on your first sign-in and only if you allow it, your name and email address. You may use Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature to share a private relay address instead of your real email.
Because we do not operate a backend server, this information is stored on your device to recognize you and personalize the App. Apple’s own processing of your sign-in is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Signing in is entirely optional; the App is fully playable without it.
If you enable streak reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device at the time you choose. These reminders are generated on the device itself — no push tokens are created and no notification data is sent to us or to any server. You can turn reminders off at any time inside the App or in your device’s system settings.
The App does not collect, request, or transmit any of the following:
The on-device information described above is used solely to:
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making, and we do not combine it with data from other sources.
Brain Sort is a local-first application. The data it creates is held in your device’s app storage. We do not maintain servers that receive this data, and we do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
The only third parties involved are the platforms that distribute the App and provide the operating-system features it relies on:
| Party | Role | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | App Store distribution; Sign in with Apple; local notification delivery on iOS | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| Google Play distribution; local notification delivery on Android | policies.google.com/privacy |
These companies may collect information independently in accordance with their own policies (for example, when you download or update the App). We do not control that processing.
We may disclose information only if required to do so by law, regulation, valid legal process, or governmental request — though in practice we hold little or no personal information that could be disclosed.
Information stored on your device remains there until you delete it. You can remove it at any time by:
If you signed in with Apple, you can also manage or revoke the App’s access from Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple on your device.
Because your information stays on your device, it is protected by your device’s built-in security (such as your passcode, biometric lock, and the operating system’s app sandboxing). No method of electronic storage is completely secure, but keeping data local significantly reduces exposure. Please also protect your device with a passcode and keep your operating system up to date.
Brain Sort is a general-audience app intended for users of all ages and is not specifically directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As described above, the App collects no personal information on a server in any event. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will address it.
Because we do not collect or retain your personal information on our own systems, the most direct way to exercise your privacy rights is to delete the App’s data from your device as described in Section 4. In addition:
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not collect personal information on our servers, so there is no central record for us to access, correct, or delete; your information lives on your device and is under your control. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Where we process the limited information described here, the legal basis is your consent (which you can withdraw) and our legitimate interest in providing the App you requested. Because data is stored locally, you can exercise most of these rights directly by managing or deleting the App. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
You can contact us at [email protected] with any privacy request or question, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Brain Sort is available worldwide through the app stores. Because the App stores information on your own device, your data is generally not transferred internationally by us. Any processing by Apple or Google in connection with app distribution is handled under their respective policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or to legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or on this page. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
